Our Love Story
Gus and Marj’s love story is one of laughter, tears, and unwavering devotion. From their first meeting to this moment, let’s celebrate their extraordinary bond that will last a lifetime.

We both came to Canada chasing new opportunities as international students. I (Gus) was studying Data Analytics, and Marjorie was diving into Marketing. Different paths, same city, and – as fate would have it – the same end-of-semester celebration one night. That’s where I first saw her: this beautiful woman with the biggest smile and energy that lit up the entire bar. I was instantly enchanted. As she walked back from the bathroom, I mustered the courage to intercept her (half pretending I was headed that way too) and blurted out, “Hey, you look super cute… can I get your number?” After a long pause – where I’m pretty sure she was sizing me up – she smiled and said, “Okay.” It took a few weeks (and lots of persistence) to convince her to go on a date. When she finally did, she showed up four hours late – but it didn’t matter. Over sushi and laughs, we forgot the wait. Later that night at a bar, I stole our first kiss. From that moment, we were inseparable. Our first big milestone came on a quiet day at Lynn Valley, surrounded by forest and lake views. That’s where I asked Marjorie to be my girlfriend – and where our story truly began.
